Recognized mainly for her feminine subject matter, unique flowing style and organic ingredients, Siloette’s stylistic approach can be easily compared to a modern formula similar to that of art nouveau. A personal introduction to graffiti in 1997, along with several years involved in the stained glass industry, definitely played a large role in her creative process and stylistic depictions produced to date.
In the past 10 years, she has worked as a self-taught muralist, illustrator and designer through the world of advertising, film, signature apparel lines and gallery exposure. Such clients include Vogue, MTV, Adidas, Scion and Random House. Homage can be paid to such creative resources as graffiti, art nouveau, Greek mythology, Native American petroglyphs, Egyptian symbolism and Japanese art from the Muromachi era. Currently, when Siloette isn’t absorbed in projects, traveling and collecting insane amounts of imagery and music, she can be found working out of her studio where she currently resides in Los Angeles.
